Members of Reconstruction Era use unique language with one another. While not a fully-developed dialect, there are expressions and vocabulary unique to the type of English spoken by members of RE. This page will probably be expanded with time since most of the language used is relatively fluid.

General Terms

This mostly consists of random terms that have been used or brought up consistently throughout the existence of the community. This is not in alphabetical order because I'm simply too fucking lazy to do that and I'm writing this at 0640, so cut me some slack will ya? and will remain in alphabetical order.

Term Translation and context
Deathwar A conflict that is likely to result in the destruction of both opponents, as in an RTS. Similar to the term total war.
Goobermensch A larper who often values weird niche political knowledge and uniforms, but expects to gain real, often dictatorial powers. Typically attracted to fascism.
Joever When it's absolutely over; an expression of dismay. Comes from Bokoen1 or possibly an old Joe Biden meme.
LARP Live Action Roleplaying, a kind of inept politics where you pretend you are achieving something for the long term, such as making a new committee that does pointless paperwork
LARP-Monster A serious and chronic LARPer, either in real life or in roleplay.
Macrating To aimlessly jump around your base in Minecraft or a similar game. Comes from a civex player named Macrat who would parkour around town for hours.[1]
Periscoping Spying by popping into a community for a short amount of time. Like a submarine's periscope.
Plimbo Quirky but irrelevant (the term's meaning in practice tends to be much vaguer)
Podunkistan An isolated area of country where the only trace of civilization is small towns. Usually a shithole. Also known as bumblefuck nowhere, the sticks.
Scrungle Odd, weird, a little strange. Can both be an adjective or a noun.
Tism Autism.

Stronghold 2
